If you’re adding butterfly or bowtie inlays to your work, this template takes the guesswork out of positioning and gives you a consistent shape every time.

Made from 6mm clear acrylic, our reusable inlay template includes five butterfly/bowtie sizes on one convenient template:

• Small – for smaller furniture, boards and decorative details
• Medium – a versatile size for furniture and general woodworking
• Large – ideal for more substantial pieces and visible slab repairs
• Two oversized shapes – for larger cracks, splits and custom woodworking projects, including large timber slabs

The clear acrylic allows you to see the timber, grain, crack or split beneath the template while you position your inlay—particularly useful when you want the butterfly to become part of the design rather than simply a repair.
